This last week, I had the privilege of photographing a maternity session for Chad & Randi.We took off to San Francisco where they have many memories together. It was sunny, freezing & windy - three things working against us, but we had a great time & captured some beautiful pictures.

{ignite} a creative discovery | november

This was a fun photo shoot. I mean, energizing, exhilerating, awesome. Last week, I had the urge to try something that was just for me, so I sent a message to my friend's daughter asking if she'd want to be my model (actually, my friend who modeled for my first "ignite" back in January). I have spent much of this year finding my style & experimenting, but I usually go back to photographing what's expected when it comes to shooting for others. This time, I just went for it, & my passion & love for photography was re-ignited.

Can I just start out by saying how much I love this girl?!!! I loved her quiet shyness at the beginning of our session, but even more, I loved seeing her open up & trust me as we progressed. I got so much satisfaction & joy from her letting me into her sweet, innocent, & fun eight-year-old world.
